Where do we meet?

What time do we meet?
9:30 AM Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays between Memorial day weekend through the last weekend day of September.

What do we do when we meet?

We sync with the National Park Service

Members make patrol selections (typically groups of three or more)

We review river levels, weather conditions, campground reservation status
-
We receive the NPS gear that we take out on patrol: (NPS radio, first aid kit, marine band radio if needed)

Then we patrol
What lodging is available?

Most members camp in Kittatinny sites 511 or 515. These sites are reserved for NCSP. Tents and campers are typical. .

Camping is free of charge for people who are patrolling.

Locally there are be B&B options as well

Are there bathroom/shower facilities?

Several Porta pots and hand wash stations will be on site.

There are several showers available at the full bath houses which we have access to.

There is access to running water in the campground.
What gear do I need to bring?

The big five: Boat, paddle, pfd, sprayskirt (kayakers), helmet

Everyone will bring gear appropriate for conditions that will keep them warm in cold and/or wet weather.

What amenities are nearby?

Barryville, NY offers a gas station/taco restaurant, food market, Italian restaurant, lunch spot and is only 3 miles south on 97.

Lackawaxen PA offers a bar restaurant and is only 2 miles north on 97 and across the Roebling Bridge on the PA side of the Delaware River.
